What makes the Hampstead Dress different from other maxi dresses?
Many elegant dresses are designed to be admired, but not necessarily lived in. The Hampstead Dress was created to offer both. Fully lined for exceptional comfort, it feels beautifully soft against the skin, while discreet hidden side seam pockets allow you to keep your phone, lipstick or other small essentials close at hand without interrupting the clean silhouette. It is the kind of thoughtful detail you’ll appreciate long after you’ve put the dress on, allowing you to move freely and enjoy the moment without wondering where to leave your belongings. Beyond its construction, the Hampstead Dress carries a story. Finished with Bint Saeed’s signature Al Talli trim, one of the United Arab Emirates’ most treasured traditional Emirati crafts recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage, it brings an important part of Emirati heritage into contemporary womenswear, thoughtfully reimagined for the woman of today.
What is Al Talli?
Al Talli is one of Bint Saeed’s signature House Codes and one of the United Arab Emirates’ most treasured traditional Emirati artisanal crafts recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Traditionally handwoven by Emirati women using fine metallic threads, it has adorned women’s garments for generations. At Bint Saeed, we reimagine the use of Al Talli through contemporary design, allowing this remarkable element of Emirati cultural heritage to be worn and appreciated by women around the world.
Can I wear the Hampstead Dress on its own?
Absolutely. The Hampstead Dress was designed as a complete dress in its own right. Its timeless silhouette allows it to be worn effortlessly on its own for elegant lunches, afternoon tea, dinners, celebrations and formal occasions, while pairing beautifully with Bint Saeed’s signature abayas whenever you wish to create a layered look.
Which Bint Saeed abayas pair beautifully with the Hampstead Dress?
The Hampstead Dress has been designed to pair seamlessly with the Covent Garden Abaya, Marylebone Abaya, Kensington Abaya and Belgravia Abaya. Together they create refined layered silhouettes where every piece complements the next, making it easy to build a beautifully coordinated wardrobe.
Is the Hampstead Dress suitable beyond the Gulf?
Yes. While rooted in Emirati craftsmanship, the Hampstead Dress was created for women around the world. Its contemporary silhouette transitions effortlessly from Abu Dhabi and Riyadh to London, Paris, Milan, Toronto and beyond, making it a timeless wardrobe piece wherever elegance is appreciated.
Does the Hampstead Dress have pockets?
Yes. The Hampstead Dress features discreet hidden side seam pockets, allowing you to carry small essentials such as your phone or lipstick while preserving the clean lines of the dress. It’s a thoughtful detail designed to give you complete freedom to move through the day without compromising elegance.
How should I care for the Hampstead Dress?
To preserve the beauty of your Hampstead Dress, we recommend professional dry cleaning only. As the dress is finished with Bint Saeed’s signature Al Talli trim, a delicate traditional Emirati craft woven with fine metallic threads, it should be handled with care to maintain its beauty and craftsmanship for years to come.
